The National Wine Centre of Australia (NWC) is one of Adelaide's leading hospitality venues situated in the vibrant East End of the CBD, in close proximity to the emerging Lot Fourteen precinct. 
Our unique architectural building is surrounded by the green space of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens and parklands. The NWC is a showcase and focal point for Australia's wine industry and as such, it has become a beloved landmark for food and wine lovers across the country who have engaged in the range of wine tourism and event experiences on offer. 
The venue hosts over 800 events per year including conferences, weddings, banquets, meetings and seminars in a flexible and unique setting. Additionally, the Centre operates a Wined Bar, providing exceptional food, wine, coffee and customer service to visitors of the Centre. 
The opportunity exists for experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our dynamic kitchen team on a casual basis. 
The successful candidates must have the following skills, experience & availability:
Formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery;Substantial experience working in a similar role either in a hotel or busy conference and events environment;Demonstrated understanding of food costs and inventory control;An excellent understanding of food, hygiene and WHS practices;Availability to work over a 7-day rotating roster including a mixture of days and nights;Effective communication & teamwork skills.This role is ideally suited to a team player who is prepared to take direction and work in a very busy environment. Initiative and a commitment to following safe work practices is essential.
To be considered for this position you must be available over a 7-day roster including a mixture of days and nights. Previous experience in a hotel or busy restaurant kitchen will be highly regarded.
