Lead the design of complex network infrastructures to support both current and future organizational needs at Charles Darwin University (CDU)
About the Position
As the Network & Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for the analysis, development, and implementation of network and infrastructure solutions to optimize the performance and reliability of the university's networks. This will involve both high-level architectural design and hands-on operational tasks, ensuring the network and associated infrastructure meets organizational and end-user requirements. Utilizing a variety of technologies, including Cisco networking equipment and protocols such as MPLS, BGP, and OSPF you will be responsible for every phase of the network lifecycle—from the initial design and architecture through to deployment and continuous optimization.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and/or a combination of relevant experience and education Proven experience as a Senior Network Engineer or similar role. Professional certification (e.g. CCNP, CCDP). Solid background in network administration and architecture. In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF). Familiarity with access control models and network security. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to provide technical, cost analysis, and project management expertise. Excellent communication and collaboration skills Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 10. The base salary will be in the range of $128,903 to $143,061 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $150,816 to $167,381 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
