The OpportunityJoin a Federal Government Department in Canberra as a highly experienced Change Manager, working into a large and complexed project. This role involves driving strategic change management initiatives to support the Department's Capability Review by developing and implementing a comprehensive change management strategy. As part of an agile team, you'll collaborate closely with a wide range of stakeholders to modernise the Departments workforce in alignment with emerging technologies and future threats. Ideal candidates will have substantial experience in large-scale change management within Federal Government, advanced skills in impact assessment, and relevant Change or Project Management qualifications.Candidates MUST be Australian Citizens, with a minimum Negative Vetting (NV1) or higher clearance.Top 5 Key responsibilities include:Develop and Implement Change Management Strategy: Create a comprehensive strategy to manage change impacts, mitigate resistance, and engage stakeholders, aligning with the Departments policies and project objectives.Conduct Impact Assessment and Readiness Evaluation: Assess how the Capability Review will affect various workforce segments and organisational structures, identifying areas that need additional support.Manage Resistance and Facilitate Adoption: Identify sources of resistance, develop mitigation strategies, and support stakeholders to ensure smooth acceptance and adoption of changes.Engage and Communicate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with the Stakeholder Engagement Lead and Communications Manager, organising workshops and focus groups to gather feedback and foster engagement.Monitor, Evaluate, and Report on Change Efforts: Track the effectiveness of change management activities, gather stakeholder feedback, adjust strategies as necessary, and report progress to the project team and steering committee.About usCanberra Consulting focuses on delivering highly skilled and qualified professionals to our clients.
