How will I help?
As a Change Director, you will be responsible for working hand in hand with the Program Leads to plan and deliver multiple change initiatives within the Information Security Strategy Portfolio of projects to deliver stronger cybersecurity capabilities to actively reduce risk, address deficiencies and support sustaining Cyber Risk within appetite.
You will be required to support initiatives for the Portfolio Director and uplift branding and communications across the Portfolio.
Major accountabilities of the position include:
Stakeholder Management and Engagement
To foster commitment and support during change processes, build strong relationships across all organizational levels, implement solutions collaboratively, and manage stakeholders effectively to minimize resistance. Act as a trusted advisor to Program Leads, especially in cybersecurity, to ensure appropriate change practices and influence better outcomes. Demonstrate superior problem-solving skills by facilitating sessions on complex issues and coaching others in identifying efficient solutions.
Communication and Reporting
Manage ISSP stakeholder communications and engagement across multiple projects, ensuring senior business stakeholders remain engaged by defining roles and responsibilities related to change. Develop a clear communication strategy and brand for ISSP, liaise with the TPO team to manage expectations, and provide visibility into ISSP's strategy and progress. Demonstrate superior written and oral skills to convey messages effectively, coach others, and leverage organizational forums to support change delivery.
Change Management Implementation
Ensure consistent application of the Westpac Change Management Framework across projects, preparing stakeholders to embrace changes and addressing issues through coaching and escalation. Connect impacts from change assessments across large or complex projects to identify synergies and optimize organizational impacts. Use organizational visibility to ensure relevant change interventions, considering the scale, impact, and frequency of changes. Identify opportunities to integrate change messages into a cohesive story, engaging senior executives effectively and coaching others.
Capability Development and Practice Management
Build and manage change capability within the business unit, develop a resource plan, coach teams, oversee a change management community of practice, and stay updated with external environment and cybersecurity regulations to anticipate impacts on stakeholders.
Reporting and Portfolio Management
Provide regular status reports on change programs, including progress, achievements, budgets, risks, and resourcing. Manage a portfolio of change initiatives, offering advice on scope, impact, and scheduling to ensure seamless integration and optimal scheduling of changes.
What do I need?
Experience in cybersecurity or technology related roles preferred.
A strong track record of demonstrable Change experience (ideally 10+ years) in managing highly complex change programs across large scale transformation initiatives involving multiple business units/brands, divisions and teams (typically >$10m).
Significant experience in both line and matrix management of a specialist change team and change support staff.
Agile and waterfall delivery across complex projects and cross functional teams.
Ability to engage and manage vendor relationships and onshore and offshore suppliers.
Enterprise Project Document Repository (EPDR) experience.
Experience in Clarity and Jira.
Postgraduate qualifications in Change Management, Strategic HRM with a focus on Change Management, Organisational/industrial psychology, Project Management and/or related discipline or equivalent industry experience and/or Completion of Westpac's advanced change programs, such as Understanding Change, Delivering Change and Coaching for Change.
