We are excited to partner with a premier construction company to recruit an experienced Project Manager for a major 20-month commercial project in Shepparton.
This is an incredible opportunity to oversee a large-scale build, managing every stage from tender, contract award, design, construction, through to commissioning.
Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, you will ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets the highest quality standards.
Role Overview:
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all stages of a high-value project worth $20-$30 million.
From the initial tender to the final commissioning, you will lead the project with a hands-on approach, coordinating every phase of the construction process.
Working closely with the Construction Manager, your focus will be on driving success and ensuring all objectives are met for this landmark development.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Full Project Lifecycle Management
Oversee the project from tender, through contract award, design, construction, to final commissioning.
Ensure the project is delivered within budget, on time, and in line with contract specifications.
2.
Administration and Documentation
Manage project-specific plans including Quality and OHS, ensuring they are up-to-date and communicated to relevant teams.
Maintain controlled registers for drawings, contracts, and documents, ensuring compliance at all stages.
Ensure all contract records are archived and all non-conformances or incidents are recorded and reported.
3.
Tender and Contract Planning
Lead project start-up meetings, establish budgets, and develop the project timeline.
Coordinate the review and signing of contract documents, ensuring all are compliant with the project's requirements.
4.
Design and Quality Control
Ensure all design drawings meet the project's specifications and are approved before construction begins.
Oversee process controls, inspections, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
5.
Purchasing and Subcontractor Management
Manage procurement and purchasing of materials and services, ensuring timely delivery.
Authorise purchase orders and manage subcontractor agreements in line with project goals.
6.
Team Supervision and Coordination
Schedule weekly meetings with Site Managers to delegate tasks and monitor project progress.
Conduct appraisals for subcontractors, ensuring their performance meets project requirements.
7.
Budget Oversight
Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and target profitability.
Approve supplier and subcontractor invoices and review all submitted variations for accuracy.
8.
Client and Stakeholder Communication
Act as the key liaison with clients, consultants, contractors, and senior management, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of any issues.
Ideal Candidate: We are seeking a Project Manager with extensive experience in managing large, high-value commercial builds, ideally between $20-$30 million.
Proven experience delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget is essential, as is a solid understanding of all stages of project management.
Experience with commercial construction is highly desirable.
