Ass. Director & Director - Policy, Strategic Advice and Stakeholder Engagement
About the company:
Government agency tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Our client is looking for both an Assistant Director and a Director to lead a key project in their Service and Guidance division, with a key focus on policy, strategic advice and stakeholder engagement.
About the role:
Leading key strategies and projects
Initiating, establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to develop collaborative guidance to support service delivery.
Providing strategic advice about the key stages of the participant pathway, specific participant cohorts and technical processes within SAP CRM and PACE business system requirements.
Providing support to drive business improvement in access and planning processes including expert advice to internal and external stakeholders.
Raising awareness of critical issues to senior management through regular management reporting to senior management.
Providing effective leadership to a small team of staff delivering Agency Guidelines, letters and knowledge articles.
Prioritising completing priorities and provide advice to the Agency's executive team about overall team capacity, scope of work and progress against key deliverables.
Providing considered advice to multi-disciplinary teams and the Agency's executive, Board, Minister and other Australian Government Departments in a timely manner
Additional Skills:
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels.
You will have effective stakeholder engagement and reporting skills.
You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
You will have previous Project Management experience.
You will have experience working in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines.
You will have previous leadership/management experience
Benefits:
ASAP start (pending Federal Police Clearance)
Assignment until the 31/12/2025 with the possibility of extension
Full time hours Monday to Friday in Geelong, Melbourne, Newcastle, Adelaide, and Canberra locations + hybrid working from home options.
EL1 – Assistant Director - $602.55 per day + super
EL2 – Director - $754.20 per day + super
