The Minister for Emergency Services is pleased to invite applications for a Chairperson to the Triple Zero Victoria Board (the Board).The Triple Zero Victoria Act 2023 establishes Triple Zero Victoria (TZV), creating the critical link between the Victorian community and the state's emergency services agencies.
It provides Victoria's 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for police, fire, ambulance and Victoria State Emergency Service.About the roleThe Board is responsible for the overall governance of TZV, including:Building and developing relationships with emergency services organisations, public health agencies and related services organisations.Establishing and maintaining a sustainable organisational framework that meets future demand for services.Ensuring TZV implements the work program applying to TZV for the Strategic Action Plan as developed under the Emergency Management Act (section 64 of the TZV Act).Managing any risks identified by, or reported to, the Board that affect TZV's delivery of services and ability to meet the agreed performance standards.Appointing the CEO of TZV and any other functions that are conferred on TZV by the TZV Act or any other Act.The role of the Chairperson is to:Convene a meeting of the Board at least six times each year.Preside at meetings of the Board.The Chairperson will be appointed for a two- or three-year term commencing in June 2025.TZV is classified as an A3 statutory entity, and remuneration is paid accordingly as per the Appointment and Remuneration Guidelines.Who we're looking forThe Chairperson will possess experience in one or more of the following areas:Public administration.Commercial, technical, operational, legal, or financial matters.Public health.Clinical work.Ambulance services.Public safety.Emergency services.Any other expertise relevant to TZV's functions.What you need to applyPlease review the attached position description before applying for this role.Applications close at 11:59pm on 9 February 2025.The Victorian Government is committed to ensuring that government agencies reflect the rich diversity of the Victorian community.
