The Cattle Compensation Advisory Committee (CCAC) is a statutory ministerial advisory committee whose primary role and function is to advise the Victorian Minister for Agriculture on expenditure from Cattle Compensation Fund and related matters concerning Victoria's cattle industry.About the role The Minister for Agriculture is seeking expressions of interest for the role of chairperson and up to 8 committee members for a 3-year term.Who we're looking for Applicants must be able to demonstrate knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following areas:the cattle and allied industriesbiosecurity or market accessquality assurance and food safetyfinance, legal practice or business managementagricultural, animal or veterinary sciencepublic policycurrent/previous Livestock Advisory Committee experiencecurrent/previous membership of Commonwealth, Victorian, local government, or industry bodies and your contributions to these.demonstrated experience in industry leadership, industry organisations and/or industry networks preferred.research investment expertise.The Victorian Government is committed to ensuring that government boards and committees reflect the rich diversity of the Victorian community.We encourage applications from people of all ages, Aboriginal people, people with disability, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and from lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, gender diverse, intersex and queer people.
