Essential criteria: Postgraduate qualifications, a PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline, demonstrating expertise and specialisation in the field.
A proven track record of excellence in teaching, service, scholarship and leadership, Level D or E, that meets the criteria for appointment as a Professor or Associate Professor.
Extensive experience in course governance and accreditation, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of self-accreditation processes, standards, and best practices within a higher education institute.
Proficiency in curriculum development and authentic assessment, with the ability to design and implement effective educational programs to show evidence of an active role in the maintenance of academic standards with alignment to educational policies and professional requirements.
Eligibility for membership in professional counselling organisations such as PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia) or ACA (Australian Counselling Association).
Proven success in building and sustaining a diverse academic network, emphasising collaborative partnerships with a specific focus on learning and teaching.
Demonstrated leadership in interdisciplinary projects, active networking engagement, and thought leadership, underscoring commitment to advancing education in the academic community.
In line with the level of appointment, strong leadership skills, including experience in managing staff and leading teams in an effective and collaborative manner.
