CFO | SME Growth Story | $170-220k+Super + STIYour New Company
Enjoy the best of both worlds - an established brand name company with a national footprint currently undergoing a growth spurt. After decades of successful operations, newly appointed executive leadership is taking the company to the next level aggressively, which includes hiring its first ever 'CFO'. Driving growth through market expansion, inorganic M&A transactions, and added services. With over 500 full-time + casual staff, a Perth HQ, and presence across Australia, this is the Company you can call home away from home for a long time.

Your New Role
As an SME CFO role, you'll wear many hats! Especially given you are the first in company history. You'll build on external consultants' work to date in accounting systems (Xero), payroll (ADP), operational systems, monthly management reporting, capital management, post-merger integrations, ongoing strategy and execution, and commercial decision support. You will have a small team of transactional support on arrival but will be expected to act as an accountant initially - hands-on the tools for the first 6-12 months. Get things done will be your mantra, diligence your watchword, and drive the corporatisation of quite a relaxed yet professional environment.

Your Profile
Any qualified accountant CFO candidate can do debits & credits; for this appointment, you'll need to bring an engaging personality, demonstrated success in supporting a growing company strategically (perhaps up to $100-200m or more), and know what good looks like. You will have developed processes, systems, reporting, and compliance to scale for growth previously. You have examples of hiring and developing high-performing teams. You are proactive, ambitious, a problem solver (none too big, nor too small), enjoy autonomy, and enjoy being 2IC to the CEO/MD with whole of business performance in mind. You are the CFO of tomorrow - visionary, commercially minded, strategic, and enjoyable to work with. You are the full package of IQ (intelligent), EQ (empathetic), and CQ (commercially astute). You may come from small, medium, or large company backgrounds, be a first-time CFO or 5th-time CFO; what is most important is you want to be in an emerging SME and have a long-term view.

What's in it for you - good question!
- Work for a high-quality Australian Company, a recognized leader, great operator in its space.
- Be part of a cohesive and results-driven leadership group.
- Opportunity to grow a business with financial rewards for outcomes.
- Flexibility to work from home 1 day per week on average.
- Common sense rules.
- Very clear business strategy, ethos, direction, shared vision.
- Autonomy to do what you do best, and a leadership team that takes advice.
- Opportunity to make an immediate impact, and a lasting one too.
- Small head office, quick decisions, commercially astute leadership.

Your Application
I know what you are thinking - perfect timing - I love these growth stories and being the first CFO in an expanding Company. Well, what are you waiting for - apply today and secure your spot on the shortlist. Your CV will be evaluated by Eric Macias (08) 6141 3200. If including a cover note/letter, please do include why the opportunity appeals to you and how you fit the above profile to a tee. We can consider a Nov, Dec, or even January start - the right person is far more important than the timing of the hire; 80-90% of the decision will be culture fit with the hiring executives and owner of the Company. It is expected you can do the job; the questions will be how well you will do it, for how long, and how enjoyable will it be to work with you when you are there.
