The Role:
As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will be the linchpin between business operations and a highly engaged Board of Directors. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee all aspects of financial strategy, governance, and reporting. This role demands exceptional communication and the ability to provide detailed, precise commentary to a board that values rigour and insight.
You'll lead a large, highly competent and talented team of finance professionals while ensuring compliance, transparency, and strategic alignment with the company's objectives.
What You'll Do:
Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with corporate goals.Provide accurate and actionable insights to the Board of Directors, enabling data-driven decision-making.Drive financial governance and compliance with Australian standards and regulations.Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring clarity and precision.Mitigate financial risks through effective analysis and forward-planning.Lead the integration of cutting-edge financial systems and technologies.Inspire and mentor your team to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.What We're Looking For:
Senior Experience:
Extensive experience at the executive level, ideally with exposure to publicly listed companies or similar complex environments.Board Engagement:
Demonstrated success in managing Board-level interactions, with the ability to convey complex financial data clearly and persuasively.Technical Mastery:
CPA or CA qualification, with in-depth knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, governance frameworks, and financial risk management.Leadership Skills:
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.Communication:
