The Ceylon Harmony Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and maintain the high culinary standards our guests love. As the Head Chef, you will have the opportunity to bring your creativity to life while ensuring that every dish meets our commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage all kitchen operations, including menu creation, food preparation, and presentation. Develop and execute innovative and seasonal menus, ensuring consistency and quality. Supervise, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and foster a positive work environment. Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in compliance with health regulations. Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food costs. Collaborate with management on staffing, budget, and improving the guest experience. Work with front-of-house teams to ensure a seamless service flow. Key Requirements :
Minimum 4 years of proven experience as a Head Chef or executive pastry chef with a strong culinary background, including pastry & bakery operations. Expertise in preparing and presenting a wide range of fine dining or high-end bistro dishes, pastries, desserts, and baked goods, including artisanal bread, cakes, tarts, and seasonal specialties. A formal culinary qualification or specialized training in pastry and baking is highly preferred. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse kitchen team. Extensive knowledge of kitchen management, menu planning, and food costing. Passion for culinary innovation and high standards. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure. Ability to ensure food safety and cleanliness practices are strictly followed. A culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required. What We Offer :
