Australian Maritime Safety Authority – Coffs Harbour NSW $84,673-$98,161 + 15.4% super (AMSA Level 4) Brisbane, Coffs Harbour, Fremantle and Sydney Multiple positions – Ongoing and non-ongoing ABOUT THE ROLE The Certification Officer (Seafarer) role contributes to the management of international and domestic seafarer certificates of competency, in line with national legislation and international standards.
As part of a geographically dispersed team, the Certification Officer (Seafarer) will use their strong analytical skills to underpin decision making in relation to the issuance of seafarer qualifications. With well-developed communication skills, you will also engage with a broad range of maritime industry stakeholders to develop effective engagement across the industry.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience:
Experience in application decision-making and reporting in a fast-moving, high volume operating environment.Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex concepts and develop well-considered options, based on evidence.Proven ability to support legislatively based decision making in a government context is highly desired.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to various stakeholder audiences.Well-developed interpersonal skills and able to effectively support team development and achieve organisational goals.Ability to self-motivate, demonstrate innovation and work independently.Experience in mentoring, training, or leading teams is highly desired.AMSA BENEFITS We are committed to a supportive and collaborative work environment, which is why AMSA offers:
