The Australian Training Company (GTO) is excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic student for an immediate start as a School-based Apprentice (ASbA) in Certificate II or III Hospitality!
This position will require one to two days in the workplace each week for up to 24 months.
Location: The location for this role is in an Indian restaurant in Canberra's Civic Centre.
About the Role: As an ASbA, you will balance your school commitments with practical on-the-job training in various aspects of the hospitality industry.
This role is perfect for someone who is eager to learn and grow in a dynamic work environment while working towards a nationally recognized qualification and completing their secondary school studies.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in day-to-day operations within a hospitality setting, including food preparation, customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Learn and apply key skills and knowledge as part of the Certificate II or III Hospitality curriculum.
Work collaboratively with experienced professionals to gain practical industry experience.
Adhere to workplace health and safety guidelines and company policies.
What We're Looking For: A current high school student who is enthusiastic about pursuing a career in hospitality.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and show initiative.
Commitment to working towards the Certificate II or III Hospitality qualification over a 24-month period.
Availability to work part-time hours while managing school responsibilities.
Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate or the ability to obtain is essential.
