Dessert Accounting and Business Support (DABS) is recruiting on behalf of Barra Parrapi Aboriginal Corporation (BPAC). About Us In 2021, the Federal Court determined the Nangaanya-ku Part a Native Title Claim and Barra Parrapi Aboriginal Corporation (BPAC) as the registered native title body corporate (RNTBC) to hold the native title rights and interests on trust on behalf of the Nangaanya-ku Native Title Holders. BPAC is responsible for consulting with proponents seeking land access and use, protecting and preserving land and heritage, managing corporate governance functions, undertaking operational activities, and fulfilling obligations under heritage protection and land use agreements.
The Role Reporting to the BPAC board of directors, the Chief Executive Officer will be primarily responsible for the overall business strategy, with a clear roadmap for the Corporation's growth and financial viability for the use of land within the Nangaanya-ku determination boundary. The role is based in Kalgoorlie with an option of FIFO or DIDO, as required.
Key Functions Develop and Implement Business Strategy: Work with directors to create and enforce governance frameworks that ensure transparency, accountability, and efficiency.Set Vision and Growth Roadmap: Define and communicate a clear vision and detailed growth plan, identifying key milestones and opportunities.Support the Board: Assist the board in fulfilling its governance duties by preparing reports, offering strategic advice, and ensuring effective implementation of decisions.Build and Lead a Team: Recruit and manage a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring alignment with company goals.Oversee Financial Management: Manage financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow to optimize performance and ensure regulatory compliance.Liaise with Stakeholders: Regularly communicate with BPAC's directors, service providers, and stakeholders on negotiation protocols and relevant matters.Attend Meetings and Provide Updates: Participate in BPAC and committee meetings, providing updates and contributing to discussions for effective decision-making.We are looking for a This role suits a highly autonomous and adaptable professional with strong leadership skills.
