Management (Community Services & Development) Full time About Centrecare Centrecare is a not-for-profit organisation with over 300 employees and is committed to delivering quality professional counselling, support, accommodation, mediation, and training services in over 11 locations across the Perth Metro, Goldfields and Bunbury region.
This position will oversee and guide six of the Centrecare programs that are run from the Kalgoorlie branch. These include:
Child Contact Services. Families First – Early Intervention Mental Health Services. Goldfields Youth Support Services. Financial Counselling. Local Services Area outreach and Men's Behaviour Change. The purpose of the role is to ensure the high-quality delivery of the programs to ensure contractual requirements are being met in a professional and ethical manner that reflects the Ethos and practice of Centrecare. You will manage the staff who work in these programs effectively by providing practical support and direction for our clients who are facing complex issues.
We want someone who is passionate about their work and is dedicated to supporting staff and clients. The ideal applicant will have a therapeutic and evidence-based practice approach, experience working with a range of client issues associated with dispute resolutions and homelessness as well as experience supervising employees.
Responsibilities include: Supporting staff by advising on complex cases and/or co-mediating. Networking with stakeholders, liaising with program stakeholders and attending relevant funding body meetings. Drafting reports, reviewing statistics, and contributing to management board reports. Providing regular management supervision with staff and group case management reviews. Providing training to staff on internal processes. What we are looking for: We are interested in a strong leader and communicator with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with Senior Management on long term goals. Someone that can support, mentor, and provide staff with a solution-focused approach.
To be successful, you will need: Recognised qualifications in Justice, Psychology, Social Work/Sciences, Childhood development and/or Family Studies and related disciplines or equivalent. Demonstrated experience and ability to lead and work within a multidisciplinary team. Specialist knowledge of community services and service delivery. Experience in case management, report writing, tender writing, and coordination of client services. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. An understanding of culturally appropriate, strength-based approaches to client services. The demonstrated ability to work under and follow policies and procedures. Possession of a current 'C' (previously 'A') class driver's license and vehicle and ability to travel when required. What's on offer: Accommodation support of $300 per week for 12 weeks.
