Service is anticipated to resume prior to that time, but cannot be guaranteed.Reference Number: 1546Closing Date: 05-12-2024Employment Type: CasualAbout the OpportunityCouncil is looking for a Centre Services Officer to deliver exceptional customer service at our Moonie Rural Transaction Centre Library. Duties include: answering customer queries, providing up-to-date information about the region and its facilities; and assisting customers with access to Council's online and digital programs.This role is casual.Reporting to the Library Delivery Supervisor, you will:Provide professional, polite and attentive services to the community and other council departments in a positive and welcoming manner.Provide a high level of customer service in Libraries and other Council services as required.Engage with a wide variety of community groups and individuals to establish networks and deliver public programs through Libraries and the Community Department.Support the development and delivery of regional library and cultural projects, public programs and initiatives (including early literacy, digital literacy, multicultural programs, youth and families, and lifestyle/learning programs).About YourselfThe successful applicant will:Be flexible, adaptable and open to changing work environments.Possess strong time management skills and the ability to complete allocated tasks while working within a team.Have a Working with Children Blue Card or be able to obtain one.Have a demonstrated high level of customer service skills.Have a high attention to detail and strong communication skills.The Benefits of Working for WDRC:Generous uniform allowance.Access to Corporate Health Plan.Health & Wellbeing program and Mental Health Support.Access to free Employee Assistance Program & confidential counselling.Allowances Available (if applicable).Job security in a local government position.If you enjoy working with people and have a passion for providing excellent customer service to support our community, this role is for you.
