The Opportunity The Henry Scott Recreation Centre is home to many community members who use the gym, participate in group fitness, and use the skate rink. It is of the highest importance to us that our centre runs programs that benefit the health and well-being of Katherine residents and makes all people feel safe and welcome!
Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and management of annual budgets.Identify cost-saving initiatives.Drive a culture of supervision, support, and motivation for a team of staff, supporting their employment lifecycle in consultation with the Area Manager and People and Culture Team as required, including managing payroll and leave approvals.Develop both long-term and short-term goals for the successful operation of the facility (including program development and strategies for long-term success).Identify opportunities that will strengthen the Y Northern Territory's relationship with key stakeholder groups.Assist the Area Manager in developing, coordinating, and implementing marketing plans designed to maintain and increase existing business and capture new opportunities within the Centre.Satisfactory Criminal History Check.Manage, maintain, and grow membership numbers, executing regular acquisition campaigns.Follow the Y NT's financial policies and procedures in all aspects of customer invoicing and procurement.Generate and follow up on any potential opportunities for increasing patronage to the Henry Scott Recreation Centre.Ensure effective management practices are implemented to mitigate risk and ensure the health and safety of workers, clients, and visitors.Ensure consultation practices are in place to enable workers to be involved in risk management planning, incident reporting, and safe work practice activities to improve work, health, and safety.Ensure the centre's compliance with the National Law & Regulations.Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean environment.About You You are a savvy-minded business leader with leadership skills, experience, and qualities, and you have the ability to unite a team and create a harmonious workplace culture.
