This role is pivotal in managing the daily operations of the centre, reporting directly to the owner, and is responsible for both educational and administrative duties.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Overseeing daily centre operationsAs an Early Childhood Teacher, you will implement play-based and diverse educational activitiesEnsuring an inclusive environment that promotes diversityLead and support a team of passionate educators ensuring high standards of teaching and care are maintainedBuilding strong relationships with staff and parentsMaintaining compliance with educational standards and safety regulationsSupporting ongoing learning and development of staffEngaging with the community to enhance educational outcomesThe Centre operates from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm, but as Centre Director, your work schedule will be 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
About YouTo qualify, you will need an ACECQA-recognised degree-level qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent. Previous experience as a Centre Director in early childhood settings would also be highly regarded but is not essential.
This role, ideally suited for an individual with dual teaching and childcare experience, offers a unique opportunity for those looking to transition from a structured educational environment to a more dynamic childcare setting.
The successful candidate will need to hold or be willing to obtain:
WA Teachers' registration;Current Working With Children (WWC) Check;National Police Check; andFirst Aid and CPR qualifications.As our ideal candidate, you will possess initiative, experience, and a willingness to learn and progress within the field. You should be adept at building relationships with both staff and parents.
