Childcare & Outside School Hours Care (Education & Training) Full time As the Centre Director of our Early Childhood Education and Care service at Wallan Victoria, you will oversee the operations of the Service.
We are seeking a special person who is able to make a positive, happy and ever-lasting impact on our children, families, and team by being a hands-on, inspirational and collaborative leader.
The Director is accountable to the Approved Provider and General Manager Operations, ensuring that we deliver a safe, engaging educational program to the children and staff and manage the service operations as a whole.
A strong reliance on positive, constructive communication and collaboration between different functional areas in the service and across the Kekeco businesses is a critical component of the role.
This role is supported by the Approved Provider Representative, General Manager Operations, HR Manager and Kindergarten Mentor.
These senior staff visit the service each week and from time to time will be co-located at the service for extended periods of time during staff performance reviews and will provide support and assistance as other operational needs arise.
Staff have access to a company sponsored Employment Assistance Program through Telus Health.
Kekeco Childcare has nurtured strong community links for many years.
The new Director will be expected to continue and strengthen these links by working collaboratively with local schools, aged care services and using Bush Kinder as a means for the children to develop stronger links with their local community.
Your responsibilities and duties will include, but will not be limited to: Ensuring child safety and welfare at all timesBeing a positive role model by coaching and mentoring team members supporting Educational LeadershipEnsuring ongoing, professional and timely communication between the service, the other services operated by Kekeco Childcare and familiesTaking personal responsibility for modelling and driving organisational values and leadership practices.Recognising, supporting and adhering to the values and philosophy of the company and this specific service.Working collaboratively with local schools and community groups to ensure we maintain a strong sense of community within the service.Qualifications: Ideally, you will have been working in a hands-on position in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector for a minimum of 10 years.You will hold, as a minimum, a Diploma in Early Childhood Development.
You will also have experience in managing a team.You should have experience in programming for a variety of age groups.You should have some experience in working with outside support agencies.Working with Children Check and Police Check will be required at Interview.We review applications as they are submitted, and we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible for your best chance to progress to the next stage of the process.
