Follow directions from the Purchasing Manager to maintain adequate levels of supplies issued from the warehouse to hospital units/departments, stock crash carts, isolation carts and dressing carts. Stock warehouse shelves with product, perform cycle counts, deliver goods, and when applicable, perform shipping and receiving functions such as verifying shipments, entering data in MMIS (material management information system), validate shortages or overages. May work on-call shift on a rotating basis if required.
Job Specific: Responsible for stocking supplies in all hospital units and the movement of stock in storeroom. (EF) Maintains all crash carts, isolation carts and dressing carts. (EF) Maintains files and enters patient charges. (EF) Maintains MMIS in a timely and efficient manner. (EF) Corrects transaction errors after researching the error to find its source. (EF) Responsible for monitoring supply PAR levels departmentally as required. (EF) Performs periodic inventories to demonstrate the accuracy of the system in place to assigned areas. (EF) Ensures accuracy of the data in the MMIS. (EF) Receives in freight and validates shipments against purchase orders; enters data in system. (EF) Delivers goods to departments; follows proper protocol for documentation. (i.e. obtaining signatures) (EF) Restocks warehouse utilizing proper rotation, organization, identification, documentation and proper location of stock items. (EF) Maintains all areas of materials storage in a neat and organized manner. (EF) Understands how to prioritize responsibilities to ensure completion of duties. (EF) Ensures that expired goods are identified, removed and logged. (EF) Communicates with customers on all supply related issues or concerns. (i.e. shortage of supply) (EF) Demonstrates the values of team concept on a consistent basis. (EF) Requires minimal supervision in performance of job duties. (EF) Receives, validates, and documents incoming shipments. (EF) Ensures outgoing shipments are adequately packed, labeled and processed. (EF) If applicable, will work on-call shift on a rotating basis. Hospital: Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures.
