In this full time ongoing role, based across Epworth's eastern suburbs locations (Eastern (Box Hill), Rehabilitation & Mental Health (Camberwell, Hawthorn)), you will be responsible for creating a sustainable flexible workforce. This exciting new opportunity of working within the newly formed Central Resource Unit, will provide Epworth with an agile, sustainable and continuous supply of skilled nurses and midwives to fill rosters, through growth and development of our contingent nursing workforce. With understanding of local needs, you will work closely with the NUMs at your site to ensure staffing is appropriate for their departments. This is an important professional development opportunity, working at the forefront of developing and growing our casual and permanent part time workforce. You will be part of the Corporate Clinical Services team and report to the CRU Manager.
You will make an impact by:
Working closely with the site NUMs to ensure that the contingent staffing is appropriate for their ward's needs.
Understand local needs and brings this to the CRU decisions
Deploy CRU staff in line with the site's LHPPD targets and Agency KPIs
Develop local CRU roster for their site/s
Workforce data collection for their site/s relevant to CRU operations**
To be successful in this role…
Act as the Site champion and Subject matter expert for Shiftmatch
Support NUMs in the optimal use of Shiftmatch at their site, set up profiles etc
Maintain strong relationships and a physical presence at their designated sites
Attend bed management meetings as required
Contribute to problem solving workforce issues at site
Provide support to other CRU site partners as needed
Work collaboratively with the CRU Workforce Coordinator to support CRU recruitment, assisting with interviews etc as required
Work under the guidance of the CRU Manager to ensure that flexible work solutions are enabled across sites when needed
Support the CRU Manager with PDP processes for pool and bank staff
Work collaboratively with CRU Education Coordinator and NUMs to ensure that new recruits are clinically orientated efficiently, and they are work ready
Provide a first point of contact for CRU staff at their site and maintain relationships with them to foster participation
You will have:
Registered nurse or registered nurse midwife with recency of practice in acute/subacute care
Understanding of acute/subacute nursing midwifery and clinical workforce requirements
Minimum of 5 years post graduate clinical nursing experience
Experience in rostering, and working with contingent staffing, ideally in a pool or nurse bank context
Experience as an ANUM and/or in recruitment
Completion of a frontline management course or frontline management experience
