CQ Health's Workforce Division plays an integral role in the effective management of the people resources for our service. The Division takes the lead role in the attraction, retention, learning and development, performance, discipline, change management, safety and well-being, and engagement of our most important asset - "our people".
The Workforce Division Unit comprises approximately 40 human resource practitioners who provide a high quality, client focused and value adding human resource service to management and staff throughout the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS).
About the role:Contribute to the effective development and delivery of professional work health, safety and wellbeing services provided by Workforce Safety and Wellbeing. The role will lead a team which provides high-quality advice, governance and data management in relation to work health, safety and wellbeing while implementing and monitoring process innovation and continuous improvement solutions to manage safety management systems across CQHHS.
Reporting to the Manager, Safety and Wellbeing, the role is responsible for the development, implementation and management of the day-to-day governance, compliance, assurance activities and administrative requirements for health, safety and wellbeing; ensuring compliance is achieved in meeting work health and safety legislative and policy obligations.
This role requires extensive knowledge of WHS legislation, policies, standards and advanced knowledge of Department of Health Standards. You will require skills in identifying risks and developing responsive policy solutions, performing quality audits and reviewing models/work practices and processes; and the ability to liaise and consult with stakeholders and provide effective engagement.
About you:While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.Comprehensive knowledge of and demonstrated application of contemporary health, safety and wellbeing practices, legislation, standards and trends.Ability to effectively lead, manage and support a client focussed team capable of meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.Ability to manage workload to achieve identified outcomes and timelines against agreed performance standards, in a large public sector service delivery organisation.Advanced interpersonal skills including conflict resolution, negotiation, consultation and verbal and written communication skills to manage people, situations and relationships flexibly and responsively.What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $148,323 p.a. is comprised of:
