The Central Land Council (CLC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976. The CLC represents traditional landowners, native title holders and other Aboriginal people in the southern half of the Northern Territory—an area of almost 780,000 square kilometres.
The CLC provides its constituents with advice, advocacy and practical assistance to support their aspirations, manage their land and realise and protect their rights.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND PARTNERSHIPS OFFICER - EP013 - ALICE SPRINGS
CL 5 $80,622 - $85,490 progressing to CL 6 $87,077 - $100,027
The Community Engagement and Partnerships Officer will work with proponents to achieve identified employment and enterprise outcomes for Aboriginal people, as outlined in land-based agreements. This will involve:
Establishing professional working relationships with Aboriginal people and providing support to enable them to advocate for employment and training opportunities Developing succession, employment and training plans that align with the group's economic project support plans. Working with stakeholders and contractors to ensure they are fulfilling local Aboriginal enterprise and employment targets identified in agreements; Working with local Aboriginal people to ensure they are aware of and engage in employment and enterprise development opportunities identified in agreements Collaborating with identified CLC staff to ensure the employment commitments outlined in agreements are fulfilled Developing and fostering strong stakeholder networks to identify and advance opportunities, including accessing funding and other support. This role provides an opportunity to make a contribution to an area that is a growing priority for the CLC, therefore the appropriate candidate will need to work in a flexible manner and be willing to adapt to meet CLC's strategic objectives.
BENEFITS
Attractive base salary plus 15.4% superannuation Generous salary packaging (maximum $29,000 annually, depending on individual circumstances); Ongoing district allowance (circa $3,640 for an individual or $6,660 with dependents); Yearly airfare allowance (circa $1,300;) Relocation assistance, should you be moving to the region; and Subsidised, fully furnished accommodation for the first four months.
