Central Highlands Regional Council has an exciting opportunity for a Plant Operator to join the Water Network team in Blackwater to carry out planned and responsive works on the water and wastewater networks across the region.
In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, maintaining and repairing water and sewer infrastructure to ensure reliable services are provided to our communities.
This role is required to participate in a rotating on-call roster.
If you are a skilled excavator or backhoe operator who has experience operating different machinery and who enjoys working in a diverse team, we want to hear from you!
Qualifications To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:
Excavator or backhoe ticket and demonstrated operating experience or willingness to obtain.
Current Queensland MR Class Drivers Licence.
General Construction Induction Card.
Cert III in Water Industry Operations or willingness to obtain during employment.
Sound knowledge of water and wastewater network management planned and responsive maintenance activities (desired).
Sound verbal and written communications skills with the ability to operate a computer/iPad.
Ability to work within a team environment and autonomously.
