Senior or Associate Groundwater Modeller Location: Melbourne or Adelaide – Full Time
Who we are looking for A Senior Level (5 – 8 years' experience) with 2 years of Groundwater Modelling experience, or 5+ years of Hydrogeology experience and a desire to transition into a dedicated Groundwater Modelling role OR an Associate Level (10 – 12 years' experience) in Hydrogeology and Groundwater Modelling which includes undertaking strategic planning and business development. Experience and/or enthusiasm for working in a consulting environment. Extensive experience with MODFLOW USG or MODFLOW 6, particle tracking, and solute transport. Expertise in PEST++, unsaturated zone modelling, and/or other modelling packages e.g., FEFLOW, Leapfrog and GoldSim will be highly regarded. Knowledge of Python and other programming languages and ArcGIS/QGIS will be highly regarded. Skills and demonstrated experience in hydrogeological conceptualisation to support model design. Demonstrable understanding of the role groundwater model plays in regulatory frameworks, technical guidance for water management, and industry standards and best practice. Strong collaboration and flexibility to thrive in a diverse, multidisciplinary environment. Proven ability to write and deliver technical reports and proposals. Full legal working rights within Australia. Relevant tertiary qualification in the area of environmental science, engineering or a related field. About the Role Our highly successful groundwater modelling group is seeking an experienced groundwater modeller to contribute to our industry-leading projects.
