About the Role: The Senior Project Accountant plays a key role in supporting procurement efforts within CDC for ongoing construction activities, overseeing all financial aspects of the design and construction of Data Centres. This position collaborates closely with the Project Accounting and Finance teams to prepare, reconcile, and analyse construction projects, delivering insightful financial analysis to both internal and external stakeholders.
Other duties include:
Attend monthly Project Control Group Meetings with internal CDC and external stakeholders to identify and address commercial and accounting issues affecting project costs. Provide detailed cost analysis for multiple projects, contributing to effective Capex decision-making. Prepare cash flow forecasts, variance analyses, and Project Accounting reports for timely distribution to the Board and senior stakeholders. Act as the key contact with suppliers, proactively addressing invoice and financing issues. Support the Development team with ad-hoc queries and contribute to process improvement initiatives. About You: This role would be suitable for a CA/CPA qualified candidate with proven experience within a Project or Financial Accounting based role. Exposure within the construction industry is highly desirable, but not essential.
Ability to set and manage deadlines across shifting environments while ensuring all stakeholders are effectively communicated with. Previous experience in forecasting within ambiguous and changing environments Essential: Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
