About the role:
The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing complex systems and solutions within CDC's Corporate and Operational Technology environments. They ensure the seamless integration and ongoing support of these systems, addressing any technical challenges that arise. Additionally, the engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize infrastructure performance and maintain system reliability.
Other responsibilities include: Design, implement, and support complex ICT and OT solutions, including VMware, Dell, Aruba, and Palo Alto systems. Provide Level 3 technical support for network, virtualization, compute, and storage systems. Participate in Data Centre ICT commissioning and DevOps automation activities. Ensure compliance with CDC design guidelines, policies, and standards. Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and stakeholder relationships. Assist with incident resolution, vendor liaison, and strategic technical improvements. About you: This role would be suitable for a candidate who has proven experience in deploying, configuring, and managing virtualised infrastructure and systems, including Windows and Linux virtual machines. The ideal candidate should also have proven working experience in working with enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Previous working experience with Microsoft Azure and M365. Proficiency in ICT monitoring tools and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python). Familiarity with automation tools, preferably Ansible. Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 Security Clearance.
