An Eligibility List (E-List) or talent pool may be created from this recruitment episode to assist in filling future permanent, temporary, or casual full-time and part-time positions. This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency. Wyong Hospital is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join the Rehabilitation & Geriatric Rehabilitation Inpatient Unit (3G). This role is vital in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary team, helping to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients.
As a Registered Nurse in the Rehabilitation & Geriatric Rehabilitation Inpatient Unit, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions to support patients' recovery and overall health outcomes. You will also take a leadership role in guiding and supervising Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing, ensuring that quality care is delivered in line with best practice standards. Your role will include accurate documentation, effective communication with patients and families, and participation in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

About You You have Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). You have recent clinical experience in rehabilitation or a related specialty, with a commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice. You demonstrate effective clinical communication skills, including proficiency with information technology and sound written, verbal, and interpersonal abilities. You have a strong understanding of team nursing and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Where You'll Be Working
You will be working at Wyong Hospital in the Rehabilitation & Geriatric Rehabilitation Inpatient Unit (3G), which focuses on providing tailored care to patients undergoing rehabilitation, particularly older adults.
