Are you ready for your next career challenge? We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Psychologist to join our team at Wyong Central Community Health Centre.
This role will have a chronic health focus and include work within the space of transition from paediatric to adult care. Provisional Psychologists are welcome to apply – please contact to discuss supervision arrangements/possibilities.
About You You will have completed a four year honours degree in Psychology from a recognised tertiary institution and hold full registration with the Psychology Board of AHPRA (for all psychologists). You will have demonstrated skills and knowledge in the use of a variety of effective Psychological interventions, individual and group work, in healthcare for young people 12-24 years of age. You will have a proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improve patient and/or consumer care and outcomes. Where You'll Be Working You will be part of a multidisciplinary team working from Wyong Central Community Health Centre and outreaching into schools and other community settings to identify young people at risk and support them to navigate and engage with appropriate support services in the health system and local community.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference to vulnerable young people and their families and carers. The Psychologist - Youth Health will work with young people aged 12 – 24 years providing high quality clinical assessment and community referrals as well as brief psychological interventions. You will be working with young people with chronic and complex health conditions, supporting them to be independent and manage their health and wellbeing as much as possible.
