About You You have Division 1 Registered Nurse registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and relevant tertiary qualifications in health management and/or a combination of relevant work experience.You contribute to the clinical governance system and support strategies to ensure best practice in clinical care and continuous improvement in quality and safety throughout CCLHD with demonstrated ability to be adept at financial and resource management.You have demonstrated experience at a senior operational management level in a complex clinical service providing high quality care to consumers in a culturally responsive way with knowledge of contemporary health service issues and the application of creative solutions to clinical care challenges.Where you'll be working The Operational Nurse Manager reporting to the General Manager is responsible for the management and leadership of NUM's, CNC's and CNE's for surgical services, anaesthetics, ICU and clinical sterilizing department (CSD) at Wyong Hospital.
This includes leading the provision of safe, quality patient care and related clinical or operational issues that may occur.
The position reports professionally to the Wyong Director of Nursing and Midwifery.
The role is a key leadership position within the hospital and will drive a strong focus on service improvement and positive cultural change across the services it leads.
The post holder will possess sound analytical, financial and negotiation skills.
The role will actively interface with all professional clinical staff groups and lead the implementation of interprofessional ways of working with a focus on patient centred care.
The role will be accountable for improving patient outcomes, sustainable access and collaborative health pathways, which include networking and working in partnership with colleagues across CCLHD.
