This recruitment may be used to fill future positions via an eligibility list for permanent, full time, part time, temporary and casual positions. An exciting opportunity exists for a Nurse Manager to work for the Paediatrics Acute, Community, Child and Family Department where you will have responsibility within the Directorate of Women, Children and Families for the provision of safe quality nursing services and the operational management of nursing, strategic service planning and related clinical issues that may impact on operational and/or financial outcomes using a risk management framework. The position has a focus on service improvement and cultural change that achieves improved patient outcomes, sustainable access, and collaboration in health care. About You You will have current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA). You have relevant tertiary qualifications in health management or equivalent work experience, OR a combination of study and extensive work experience in health management with a demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development of self and teams. You have an extensive understanding of each department key performance indicators and enablers and barriers to achieving departmental performance, patient flow and patient safety. Qualifications Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) Current NSW Driver's Licence and relevant post graduate qualifications in management or improvement science and /or extensive management/quality improvement experience in nursing/ midwifery practice. Demonstrated experience and ability to manage and lead a team and drive change through a risk management framework. Demonstrated high level leadership and ability to form productive working relationships through high level communication, negotiation, facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
