We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Senior Clinician to join our team at Headspace, Central Coast Local Health District. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your skills and make a real difference in the provision of services to the Central Coast community.
This role is suitable for the following Grades:
Counsellor Level 3 Occupational Therapist Level 3 Psychologist Social Worker Level 3 Senior Psychologist Sexual Assault Worker Level 3 Welfare Officer Level 3 Clinical Psychologist Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 About You You will hold a minimum Tertiary Bachelor Degree qualification and hold applicable professional membership and post qualification experience as per the suitable grade list. You will have extensive clinical experience working with young people (12-25) with multiple and complex needs, along with proven experience in engaging and working with individuals experiencing mental health issues, and their families. Displayed ability to maintain linkages and networks with a range of government, community and corporate stakeholders to facilitate clear referral pathways for young people in crisis and at risk of mental health and drug and alcohol problems. Where You'll be Working This role is based at Headspace Lake Haven, Gosford and Wyong sites.
The Senior Clinician will conduct initial screening assessments, provide brief interventions, evidenced based treatment, case coordination, triage and facilitate referral to support services for a range of young people 12-25 years, including those who may be 'at risk' or experiencing mental health problems. The Senior Clinician will act as a first point of contact for young people and their families, organising appointments, providing a brief intervention to young people, providing evidenced based treatment; engaging and liaising with GPs and Allied Health Professionals, and collection of client minimum data set and data entry. The Senior Clinician will also be required to work in an outreach capacity.
