As the ECT Coordinator, you will oversee the ECT service in consultation with the Director of ECT and the ECT Committee, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the service. You will liaise with other mental health services across the Central Coast regarding the referral, admission, and transfer of care for consumers receiving ECT. This role is integral to maintaining high standards of care as part of a multidisciplinary team, in accordance with NSW guidelines and local policies.If you are ready to make a significant impact and lead a dedicated team in a challenging and rewarding environment, we invite you to apply for this position.About YouYou have a current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).A current Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required.Certificate of completion of ECT training Programming is preferred, but not essential.Must have a passion for delivering quality care to mental health consumers.What You'll Be DoingIn your role as the ECT Coordinator, you will coordinate nursing practices throughout the delivery of ECT, ensuring compliance with the ECT Minimum Standard of Practice in NSW. You will promote quality improvement in nursing care, liaising with anaesthetic, theatre, recovery, and porter staff to support quality care. Responsibilities include preparing and completing documentation for each patient, conducting routine checks of the ECT device and necessary equipment, and advocating for patients and their families. You will also inform patients and their carers about all aspects of ECT in conjunction with the treating team, participate in quality improvement activities, and provide high-level customer service to all stakeholders.
