Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) Grade 2 in Mental Health to join their team on a temporary full-time basis from 3 February 2025 to 6 July 2025. This role will provide you with the opportunity to make a significant impact on the delivery of contemporary, person-centred care while contributing to the ongoing development of our nursing services. You will play a key role in providing expert clinical advice and leadership, supporting the development and implementation of evidence-based practices, and mentoring nursing teams to ensure the highest standards of care for our patients.
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2, you will be responsible for providing a diverse and complex nursing consultancy service to patients and healthcare teams. You will work within the framework of the Clinical Nurse Consultant Domains of Practice to demonstrate your advanced clinical skills, leadership, and judgement. Your expertise will support improvements in safety and quality of care through the implementation of evidence-based practice, education programs, change management, and expert consultation. You will be actively involved in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring that contemporary, high-quality, person-centred care is delivered. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, managers, and consumers will be key to developing and delivering safe, effective, and efficient models of care that align with the strategic goals of Central Coast Local Health District.
About You You have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse (Division 1). You have 5 years of full-time equivalent post-registration experience, including at least 3 years of full-time equivalent experience in mental health. You have a demonstrated ability to work within the frameworks of acute health care service delivery models autonomously and as part of a team. You have effective written and oral communication with negotiation and conflict management skills. Where you'll be working This position is based at Gosford Hospital. You will be working in a dynamic environment with a diverse and skilled team, contributing to the delivery of mental health services in an acute care setting.
