Drive pharmaceutical strategy in a values-based organisation Lead a high-performing team in delivering exceptional patient care We are seeking a Chief Pharmacist to oversee the administration, direction, control, financial management, and performance of a dynamic pharmacy service.
About the Role
As Chief Pharmacist, you will lead a pharmacy team to deliver high-quality, patient-focused pharmaceutical services. You will develop innovative service models, ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and workplace safety.
In this role, you will collaborate with senior leadership to manage budgets, develop business cases, and contribute to the organisation's strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Implement Innovative Service Models for Improved Efficiency Ensure compliance with all legislative, regulatory, and ethical standards Promote professional growth, teamwork, and safety across the pharmacy team Oversee budget management and ensure financial viability Collaborate on cost-effective procurement and medication sourcing Drive strategic development by identifying clinical needs and market opportunities Key Skills and Experience
Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration Extensive experience in hospital or healthcare pharmacy leadership Strong understanding of PBS, NSQHS Standards, and healthcare funding models Proven ability to manage change and deliver high-quality services Personal Attributes
Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills A commitment to fostering innovation, safety, and professional development Active involvement in relevant professional associations This is a unique opportunity to lead in a well-established healthcare organisation known for its commitment to innovation, patient care, and professional excellence.
$120,000 - $180,000 per annum + benefits
