The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Registrar Internal Medicine – ADVANCED TRAINEE to join this modern hospital based in a stunning location.
You will be required: To advance your practice in general and acute care medicine through exposure to an exciting case mix in a supportive environment under the supervision of a collaborative unit of specialists.To work closely with and learn from a wide array of specialists with an extensive breadth of expertise.To develop the clinical leadership skills required to practice as an RACP fellow.To participate in the provision, development, and maintenance of an effective, efficient, and equitable clinical service to hospital clients; and contribute to the continual improvement of medical education and dissemination of knowledge to staff and clients.The appointment will be to the Mackay Hospital and Health Service for the provision of services to the Mackay Base Hospital. However, at some future time, the appointee's clinical duties may be extended to other health care facilities within the Health Service.The Hospital:
Modern hospital providing trauma services, most major medical and surgical sub-speciality services. The hospital is a digital hospital, equipped with leading edge technology to assist staff to provide the highest level of care and comfort to our patients. It is the first regional hospital in Queensland to have the complete integrated electronic medical record.
Location:
It provides relaxed and comfortable rural and coastal living opportunities, only an hour flight from Brisbane and a short distance to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. The tropical climate is ideal for outdoor living with beautiful beaches and a spectacular natural environment nearby.
Skills/Qualifications:
Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
Successful completion of the RACP written and clinical examinations or equivalent with RACP certification. How do I Apply?
