Parks Victoria is looking for a passionate Cave Guide Ranger to join the Buchan Caves team and deliver factual interpretation of our world-class caves.
Competitive Salary + Rostered Weekend AllowanceEnjoy a healthy work-life balance in an ongoing roleWorld-renowned cavesAbout the role The Buchan Caves Reserve is one of 10 jointly managed parks in the Parks Victoria estate and is managed in partnership with the Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation (GLaWAC). You will have the opportunity to work in a reserve that is renowned for its horticultural beauty, deep cultural history, and intricate show cave system.
As a Cave Guide Ranger, you will take tours through the show caves in the Buchan Caves Reserve and provide factual interpretation about the formation of the caves and their history. You may also be asked to assist with in-park services as directed by the Ranger Team Leader, such as grounds and track maintenance and other visitor services. Cave Guide Rangers will participate in training specific to caves and geology, as well as interpretation and how to engage visitors in a meaningful way.
