Aged Care Assessment Services (ACAS) operate independently of Catholic Healthcare and plays a pivotal role in ensuring that Older Australians are assessed for the care and services they truly need. Our ACAS team are growing and we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior RAC Funding Assessor.
What will your role look like?
In this role, you'll manage and oversee the activities of Residential Aged Care (RAC) Funding Assessors, ensuring high-quality assessments and maintaining compliance standards across the team. You'll also be responsible for ensuring the overall performance and quality of the RAC Funding Assessor workforce. This role will involve travel across your Region to support Funding Assessors so you need to be willing and able to travel.
Day to day this includes: Managing and overseeing the activities of RAC Funding Assessors Undertaking regular reviews and monitoring the overall quality assessment status of the RAC Funding assessor workforce Managing the overall clinical status of the RAC Funding Assessor workforce Maintaining records related to the delivery of RAC Funding Assessments Being the main point of contact for aged care home management Providing ongoing supervision and mentoring to RAC Funding Assessors Fostering a positive team culture where staff have a clear expectation of their role and responsibility and are engaged in their role Ongoing adherence with Conflict-of-Interest Policy and Process To be successful in this role you'll need: Tertiary Qualification – in a health-related discipline directly related to Health, Aged Care or related specialist area (e.g. Registered Nurse, Medical Officer, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Social Worker) Current unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and unrestricted accreditation status in the role of Senior RAC Funding Assessor Minimum five (5) years demonstrated experience in Australia or Overseas directly delivering services in Aged Care settings and/or to Aged persons including to people living with dementia Demonstrated knowledge of the Aged Care Act, AN-ACC Classification principles and Quality of Care principles Strong level of clinical judgment and an ability to manage multiple tasks to meet time frame in a complex and fast paced environment Current unrestricted Class C NSW/ACT Driver's Licence with access to reliable motor vehicle Willingness to apply for a Police Check What we can offer you: Competitive hourly pay rate Not-for-profit tax benefits so you pay less tax Fitness Passport discounted gym memberships Paid Parental leave Long Service leave after 5 years Apply online now!
