Pay rate: $54.47 per hour + superannuation
7 additional leave days per year
Travel reimbursement: 0.88 cents per km in line with our travel policy

ACAS positions offer flexibility and autonomy and are based across both metropolitan and regional locations, with most roles involving local travel within each region. We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Aged Care Assessor to join the team.
What will your role look like? You will be conducting assessments to identify and meet the complex needs of clients and refer to appropriate aged care services under the Aged Care ACT.
Day to day this includes:
Collaborating with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams as required Working collaboratively with colleagues to promote a supportive and positive team culture Conducting accurate aged care assessments using the Integrated Assessment Tool (IAT) to determine client needs and eligibility for home support services Reviewing support plans to meet client's changing support needs Working effectively both autonomously and as a member of a broader team in delivering to key performance indicators within identified timeframes Maintaining currency of knowledge relating to aged care services both funded and non-funded Assisting with continuous improvement frameworks to regularly evaluate and enhance assessment processes and outcomes To be successful in this role you'll need: Tertiary Qualification in a health-related discipline directly related to Health, Aged Care, or related specialist area (e.g. Registered Nurse, Medical Officer, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Social Worker) Current unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) An Australian Driver's license and access to a registered, insured vehicle Minimum of one year demonstrated experience in Australia or Overseas directly delivering services in Aged Care settings and/or to aged persons including those living with dementia Willingness to apply for a Police Check What we can offer you: Join a highly engaged dynamic team where you'll be supported to grow and take on new challenges Make a real difference in the lives of Older Australians – play a critical role in assessing their needs and ensuring they get the right care Build valuable skills and sharpen your expertise to help you grow a career in aged care services Flexibility and fulfillment where you can prioritize work/life balance, build strong relationships with your colleagues, and make an impact on clients and their families Aged Care Assessment Services (ACAS) operate independently of Catholic Healthcare and play a pivotal role in ensuring that Older Australians are assessed for the care and services they truly need.
