Remuneration: A nnual salary commencing at $101,122, plus up to 13% superannuation. Council will consider an above-award payment for the successful candidate, based on suitability for the role, experience and qualification.

Role Overview
The Senior Officer for Traffic Management Design offers traffic management and road corridor operations expertise and support to all Gympie Regional Council directorates. This role involves developing and reviewing traffic management plans, permit applications, and traffic guidance schemes to enhance safety, compliance, and efficiency across council sites and the transport infrastructure network. Additionally, the position oversees the Council's traffic management policies, procedures, and practices to ensure they adhere to relevant legislation and regulations.
Responsible for the development of Traffic Management Plans including Traffic Guidance Schemes. Review of Traffic Management Plans externally prepared as part of permit requests for external/private works on Council Roads. Provide expert/specialist advice relating to Traffic Management organisation wide. Conduct traffic management audits and providing recommendations to improve safety and functionality on Council worksites. Reviewing, maintaining and ensuring compliance of councils traffic management panel arrangements. Monitor and review regulatory changes to ensure Councils approach remains compliant. Raise the awareness of Council's Traffic Management policies, practices and procedures and providing assistance to Council employees to implement them through regular site visits and awareness sessions. Support the coordination of traffic and road operations, and road corridor management. Develop, implement and maintain systems for auditing, monitoring, and reporting. Exercising sound judgement, initiative and confidentiality including an ongoing review of business systems and processes within the unit as part of a continuous improvement. Foster a positive relationship with all key stakeholders. Support and promote a positive and cooperative team environment, which fosters creative problem solving and knowledge sharing. Maintain a positive organisational image, which promotes good customer relations and maximises the provision of a high level of service to enhance the customer experience. Mandatory Requirements:
