About Catherine House
Since 1988, Catherine House has provided inner-city services, supporting women out of homelessness, for women over 18 years of age and unaccompanied by children. It offers crisis, mental health, and longer-term supported accommodation, as well as supporting many others via outreach services or through women using our onsite Women's Centre or Education and Employment Program. Catherine House is an unregistered NDIS service provider with an area of specialty in psychosocial disability, delivering a range of supports to clients living in our accommodation programs or in the community.

About the Role The role of Coordinator: NDIS Supports facilitates the coordination of the expanding NDIS services and supports provided by Catherine House to clients residing in our accommodation programs, as well as to those living independently in the community or in another service setting. The Coordinator: NDIS Supports is responsible for ensuring that Catherine House provides the highest level of support to NDIS clients, while working to meet all quality and safeguarding requirements. The Coordinator: NDIS Supports is primarily responsible for coordinating the type and delivery of the daily living supports Catherine House provides to NDIS clients, both onsite in its accommodation programs and in community settings or homes.
What you'll do The development, delivery, and review of a quality program of activities and supports for Catherine House NDIS clients that are consistent with their NDIS goals Contributing to the review of the service model as it responds to the NDIS Law changes Keeping across the latest changes and developments in the NDIS Law and assessing how they relate to our service model Collaborating with team members to deliver a high-quality service, which is consistent with program goals and provides a safe and positive environment for clients Completion of a diverse range of program administration functions to ensure staff and clients are aware of their responsibilities in providing support to Catherine House NDIS clients Consulting with relevant stakeholders involved in Catherine House NDIS client care and support Performing client support, program and shift duties as required across the MHP Desired Skills and Experience Relevant post-secondary qualification plus experience working in a similar role and environment with similar clients Experience supporting NDIS clients to achieve their goals Experience in working in NDIS services and with NDIS stakeholders Experience supporting clients with complex supports needs to manage their mental health issues Experience collaborating with women from diverse backgrounds, cultures, religions, and sexuality Experience with client crisis management, de-escalation of incidents and management of client behavioural and support issues Mental Health First Aid Training or willingness to attend course within two months of commencement of employment Child Safe Environments Training or willingness to attend course within two months of commencement of employment Food Safety Certificate or willingness to attain within two months of commencement of employment Client case note recording including electronic data systems What we offer in return :
