Caterpillar Financial currently has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join the Finance team in Financial Products Division based in Tullamarine.
This position will be responsible for carrying out activities necessary to provide financial compliance and analysis of business results.
Job Responsibilities:
Under limited supervision, conduct a wide variety of complex accounting duties and projects.
Assignments and work are generally broad in nature requiring a broad knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
Make recommendations for changes in policies and procedures to correct accounting related problems and processes.
Provide training, guidance, and check the work of less experienced accounting staff.
Research and provide guidance on proper classification of transactions.
Responsibilities:
Maintaining financial records in accordance with GAAP and organisational standards.
Perform complex reconciliations.
Be conversant with reporting based on US GAAP and IFRS.
Preparation of Statutory Accounts based on AASB GAAP specifically focussed on AASB7 and AASB9 standards.
Business planning and forecasting and analysis of actual result versus plan.
Compliance with all policies and procedures to a high degree of accuracy.
Understands and assist with the established continuous improvement objectives for the department.
Skills Required:
