Your role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital You will participate as a team member across all areas of the Catering Department and contribute as required in the prompt & timely delivery of customer meals.
The Position Maintain correct food preparation levels at all times to the catering department standards.
Ensure timely delivery of meals to customers.
Ensure correct presentation of meals and products to the catering department standards.
Ensure correct portion control is used on all meals and products.
Ensure all produce is washed, put away or prepared correctly.
Assist dishwashing duties, includes the washing up of large heavy-duty pots, pans and other kitchen utensils.
Observe and practice all aspects of food, kitchen and personal hygiene.
Assist with general kitchen hygiene maintenance includes; washing of walls, floors, refrigerators etc.
in front and back of house areas as requested.
Train and assist the orientation of new caregiver/s as directed.
When necessary be prepared to assist other departments by performing duties as directed.
Follow hygiene standards as established under the Hospital Food Safety Plan and Health Department Regulations.
All other duties as directed by the Food Service Lead? You will have food and meal preparation experience in fast paced café environment and experience providing a high standard of attention to detail is all aspects of food and beverage presentation.
To succeed you will be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of safe basic manual handling principles and be physically able of undertaking duties including lifting, pushing, pulling and being on feet for considerable periods during the working day.
You must be available for a range of shifts (morning and afternoon) across a 7 day operation.
