DescriptionWho is Harbison? Harbison is a not-for-profit organisation owned by the community of the Southern Highlands. Harbison was founded by a group of volunteers in the late 1950s to provide local, independent, high-quality care and accommodation for the aged and disabled in the Southern Highlands and surrounding areas.
Today we provide general and specialised care across a range of settings and are one of the largest employers in the Southern Highlands. What is the Role? We are currently seeking full-time & part-time catering roles to join our team. The following roles are required over both Harbison sites (Burradoo & Moss Vale):
CooksCatering AssistantsYou will be responsible for: Providing quality meals to our customers using the "person centred" approachPreparing and handling food whilst complying with infection control practicesAdhering to food hygiene and health and safety regulationsEnsuring the residents rights, dignity and confidentiality are always upheldReceiving and storing goods, stock ordering, rotation & stocktakingWorking with staff and residents from culturally and linguistically diverse backgroundsSupporting the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission's requirementsWhat are we looking for? A strong commitment to customer service and relationship buildingA commitment to a high standard of food preparation and deliveryA focus on continuous improvementDemonstrates a high standard of personal appearanceHighly developed interpersonal and communication skillsFlexible availability and willingness to work a variety of shiftsIdeally, you have experience in the hospitality industry and experience in the Aged Care sector, however this is not essential. We are ideally seeking a strong focus on customer service and care and a "can do" attitude and we would be happy to support individuals who demonstrate the right attitude and approach in obtaining the relevant qualifications.What are some of the benefits?
