With our corporate office in Brisbane's CBD and sites in the South Burnett and Rockhampton regions, we are a supplier of energy solutions to Queensland, the National Electricity Market, and large energy users throughout Australia.About the roleThis is a permanent opportunity based at our Brisbane Office.The Category Specialist plays a key role supporting the Maintenance, Repairs and Operations portfolio which includes:Strategy development for Category Plans and SourcingTender managementContract negotiationsCategory managementSupplier relationship managementPartnering with various business stakeholders to deliver high quality procurement and contract management services.As a Category Specialist, this role will partner with the business to deliver value through commercial outcomes in accordance with our business values and objectives, procedural and statutory requirements.Key activities include:Lead, manage, and deliver procurement requirements across the end-to-end project as they enter their planning, operational and delivery phases.Lead concurrent sourcing processes and contractor management activities such as RFXs, negotiations, risk apportionment/contract drafting etc.Manage end to end procurement events on behalf of internal stakeholders and deliver hands-on procurement activities from tender and contracting strategy development, supplier evaluation, contract negotiations and execution, encompassing clear, compliant, and concise procurement documentation for complex activities.About youExperience in category management, strategic sourcing events for complex contractual arrangements for construction, goods and/or services type arrangements for asset intensive industries such as Energy, Utilities, Mining, or Manufacturing.Proven working knowledge in end to end procurement specialist role, delivering strategic and tactical procurement activities.Proven contract management experience from a supplier's and customer's perspective.Strong project management skills, problem solving and analytical skills.Benefits:12.75% employer contribution to superannuationAccess to Bright Spark – our rewards, recognition and discounts platformWeekly payContributions for IP/TPD insurance unitsFlexible work arrangementsIncentive schemeHealth and wellbeing initiatives (e.g.
