The Category Manager, Professional Services is responsible for the provision of expertise, advice and assistance relating to the procurement and management of professional services and consultants as well as the development and ownership of the professional services engagement strategy and associated policies and processes, including the possible management of a Vendor Management System.
The role suits a proactive, detail-focused and solutions-thinking person who will work within the Procurement team of Corporate Services to ensure compliance with DEECA and Whole of Victorian Government Procurement policies and procedures, whilst undertaking market research and data analysis to continuously improve processes and identify opportunities for innovation.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is desirable but not mandatory.Demonstrated knowledge of procurement practices and procedures, including demonstrated capacity to understand and apply the Victorian Government Purchasing Board guidelines.This is a fixed term position available until 12 September 2025. The work location for this position is 2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
