Category Manager Fleet (Procurement/Logistics/Supply Chain)

A leading government agency based in Blacktown is seeking a Fleet Category Manager to manage a diverse range of procurement activities to ensure efficient and effective contract management services, facilitating the delivery of high-quality services by external vendors across the Fleet Replacement Program.
Key Responsibilities: Facilitate efficient vendor management by implementing best practices for tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and selection. Oversee the ongoing monitoring and management of external vendors across BCC, ensuring effective oversight of all consultants, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.Provide comprehensive tender and contract management services for the BCC Fleet and Equipment Replacement Program. Ensure that nominated procurements are developed and delivered within specified timeframes, costs, quality standards, and scope requirements to meet government and BCC objectives.Lead the contract and procurement processes for nominated projects, ensuring that client objectives are achieved and that all activities comply with NSW government and BCC procurement project requirements.Manage the performance evaluation of vendors to ensure that deliverables meet the required standards and stay within budget constraints. Implement directives from the Procurement Leadership Team (PLT) to maintain BCC's Government Procurement Accreditation.Coordinate the development of Contract Management Plans for all BCC Fleet Replacement Program contracts. This includes conducting strategic reviews, evaluating contractor performance, managing supplier relationships, addressing contract and price variations, monitoring contract options, establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and tracking benefits. Ensure that contracts are managed consistently and in accordance with NSW government procurement standards.Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in either: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Logistics, Automotive Engineering (optional but advantageous)
Certifications (Preferred):
CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) or equivalent.
CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or other procurement-specific qualifications.
Fleet Management Certifications
