Position: Category Management Partner
Location: Western Suburbs Melbourne
Contract Length: Temporary (3 months), full-time with hybrid working arrangements
Hours: 38 hours per week
Salary: $65 per hour + super
About Us Public Sector People is proud to partner with our client, a leading local council in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Category Management Partner to join their team on a temporary basis. There is a potential opportunity for the role to be extended for permanency.
In this role, you will be responsible for executing strategic category plans to drive continuous improvement and value across various areas, including value for money, risk reduction, and triple bottom line outcomes. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to optimize supply chain value and support direct service delivery to customers.
Key Responsibilities Execute strategic category plans to drive continuous improvement and value. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders as a trusted business partner. Coordinate and manage strategic procurement processes for services/works projects. Manage contractual and administrative matters, including tender documentation and evaluations. Job Requirements Previous experience in government/not-for-profit/education/healthcare/aged care organizations or mid to large-scale organizations in a similar role. Tertiary education in a related field. Demonstrated experience in developing Procurement policies. Ideally worked in categories related to buildings, construction, capital works, civil projects.
