We are excited to offer the role of a Category Development Manager.
This role provides strategic leadership in driving the mid-term Category Growth Agenda in the Grocery channel by ensuring category growth drivers are clearly defined, and supported with annual plans and levers to deliver sustainable growth.
This will be achieved through planning, the formulation of effective strategies and superior execution in a cost effective and efficient manner.
Responsibilities: Develop a Channel Strategy: integrate the insights and category strategy, analyse the channel performance (scan and panels), prioritize and develop the strategy, shopper initiative and scorecard by channel.
Participate in the development of the Category strategy in line with consumer marketing strategy Ensuring the relevant Channel strategy clearly articulates the strategic priorities for the channel, and driving the strategy-into-action process to ensure the wider commercial team delivers (embedding customer and shopper needs into our ICP process)  Collaborate with sales and marketing to use in-market data to determine the right assortment per channel / customer - aligning with consumer and customer needs, but also reflecting where we can drive mutual profitable growth (including identifying key portfolio gaps).
Work collaboratively with the account team to develop plans to communicate, influence and implement 5Ps strategy with our customers Work collaboratively to develop trade and consumer promotions for the Channel to ensure Blackmores ROI and competitive position are maximised.
Category reviews – responsible for working with cross functional teams to build the presentation/deck to influence customers positively and to conduct face to face presentations with retailers Increase our level of strategic engagement with major customers Input in Joint Business Planning process Responsible for NPD and Category Activation budgeting and activation planning Work with consumer market and project management to develop and implement channel specific SKUs.
Who are you?
At least 7 years or more of working experience in Category Management, Key Account Management or Consumer Marketing roles in FMCG, Pharmacy and Grocery related industries.
Thorough understanding of Category and Channel strategy, 5Ps strategy and Shopper Marketing.
Demonstrated experience and familiarity using Microsoft Office Suites applications from Excel, Power BI, Google Analytics for reporting and performance tracking and Aztec and Nielsen data  Strong interest in problem solving operational issues, data analysis and application for operational and commercial excellence and content creation for learning design.
Strong ability to multi-task, prioritise and possess an eye for detail for report and presentation preparation.
